Interventional Cardiologist

Dr. Quinton Barry completed medical school at the University of Limerick, in Limerick Ireland in 2017. He then went on to complete his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Ottawa in 2020 and Adult Cardiology fellowship at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute in 2023. Following this he completed an adult interventional cardiology fellowship in both coronary and structural intervention at the University of Ottawa heart institute in June of 2025. His structural interventional cardiology fellowship included training in percutaneous ASD/PFO closure, Left atrial appendage occlusion [LAAO}, TAVI, Mitral / Tricuspid TEER and experimental / developing structural heart interventions.

 

His clinical and research interests lie primarily in the field of structural interventional cardiology and the associated evolving technologies but also in acute myocardial infarction cardiogenic shock and medical education and simulation within the field of interventional cardiology.
