Cardiologist
Dr. Alexandra Saunders is a Saint John local who happily returned home to work as a clinical cardiologist with the NBHC Team in 2024. She was fortunate enough to do much of her training at home, getting her BSc (Hons) at UNBSJ, medical school at Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick, and Internal Medicine training at Dalhousie - Saint John. Her Cardiology training, Master of Science in Translational Medicine, longitudinal training in Pulmonary Hypertension and Cardio-Obstetrics, and Echocardiography fellowship were completed at the University of Alberta (2020-2024).
Her clinical interests include pulmonary arterial hypertension, cardio-obstetric cardiology, and echocardiography (with special interest in TEE, 3D, and strain).
