Electrophysiologist
Dr Bassel Lakkis joined the New Brunswick Heart Center in 2024. Dr Lakkis earned his cardiology degree in 2016, his internal medicine degree in 2019 and his cardiology degree in 2022 from the American University of Beirut. Afterwards, Dr Lakkis completed 2 years of training in adult cardiac electrophysiology at the Centre Hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM), from which he graduated in 2024 just before he joined our team. He has special interest in atrial arrhythmia and ablation. He has published in world-renowned medical journals including Heart Rhythm and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. He served as the young EP embassador of the European Heart Rhythm Association in Lebanon between 2022 and 2024.
Dr Lakkis is fluent in French, English and Arabic.
