Cardiac Anesthesiologist
Dr. David Hughes has been an anesthesiologist at the New Brunswick Heart Centre since 1991. He received his medical degree at the University of Toronto and his Anesthesiology specialty training at Dalhousie University. He was certified as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Anesthesiology in 1987. He completed further post-graduate training in anesthesiology at the University of Otago, in critical care at the University of Western Ontario, and in transesophageal echocardiography at St. Vincent's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.
