Cardiologist
Dr. Mark Hansen returned to the Maritimes to join the New Brunswick Heart Centre in 2023. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Toronto in 1999, followed by training in Internal Medicine (2003) and Cardiology (2005). He completed a Clinical Fellowship in Echocardiology at the University of Toronto in 2006 and the Master Teacher Program in 2008. He holds a Diploma in Transthoracic, Transesophageal, and Stress Echocardiography from the U.S. National Board of Echocardiography. He is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Dalhousie University. In addition to the clinical practice of cardiology, his professional interests include echocardiographic quality improvement and integrative multi-modality cardiovascular imaging.
